1. I want to be a surgeon so that I can give people back the life they used to have. Just because they got hurt skiing or in a car crash or any other situation doesn’t mean they can’t ever live like they want to. With the successes of modern medicine, this is becoming more and more possible for patients with most injuries.
2. I want to be a doctor so I can step back from my work feeling as if I did the best I could for that person to make them better. I want to be able to be proud of the work I’ve done and the outcome for someone else.
3. I have a great strength in knowing when it’s appropriate to lead with your head and when to lead with your heart. I have enough knowledge to act quickly and solve a problem when times get tough but also understand when its ok to cry and let emotions take control.
4. As much as I wish I could enter the health field and save every person who comes my way or fix every injury or cure every disease, I cannot and will never be able to perform miracles.
