March Goals

3 for 6 for the month of February. I'll take it. Partly because I wrote this half-way through the month and partly because I've been busy (and yes I realize that's the most used excuse out there)

February's Recap

[+] work on Mark's First Year photo book.  Well this didn't happen. I keep adding in pictures but haven't journaled yet. Oops.

[+] keep nursing Mark before bed and at wake-up time while pumping for the rest of his feeds.  Success -- there is officially enough milk in the freezer so that he has one bottle of breast milk every day until he's 6 months old AND he usually is getting two each day now (one frozen and one fresh). This means that he's only getting 10oz of formula a day and I'm very happy about that.

[+] apply for a class representative position at school.  I decided against this because of the time responsibilities as well as grades. Since I made the conscious decision that it wasn't best for me that counts right?

[+] date my husband more.  We were able to get out as a family a few times but nothing just mommy and daddy. But the nice thing is that I foresee this goal being on every month's list.

[+] take out my big-girl camera more often to take pictures of the babe.  Yes. Not very often because I just don't have that much free time but it did happen and I'd like to think my photog skills are improving

[+] workout. In some way or form.  Ha. Hahaha. That's all there is to say about that.

March's Goals

[+] set an appointment at the eye doctor to get these eyes of mine checked out. I wanted to wait until I was "postpartum enough" since pregnancy can do all sorts of crazy things including change your vision. But my contacts are running low and my glasses are probably over 5 years old so I think it's time.

[+] get outside every single day. With cold weather happening quite often lately sometimes the only time I'm out is to run from the car into school. And goodness knows we all need the Vitamin D.

[+] do at least 5 practice questions for Boards each day in a random system and stay on top of the questions in the current system. Step 1/Level 1 exams are coming up quick and the stress of studying for "the most important test of your career" is pretty daunting. Wish me luck.

[+] blog more. About what I'm not sure but something. It's therapeutic in the moment and holds memories for the future.

[+] date my husband, for real this month. We need to get out just the two of us at least once as well as make a better effort to do special things. Whether it's a good afternoon Starbucks walk with the babe in the stroller and the dog on the leash or saving dinner till after Mark is asleep and making something fancy or snuggling more. He's my #1 man and we need to connect more.

[+] wash and fold all the clothes Mark no longer fits in. I've pulled them all out of his drawers/closet but they're currently sitting in a bin next to the washer/dryer just waiting.

Six feels like a realistic number, we'll stop there! Happy March!

  1. I think that is great that you plan and try to achieve goals by the end of the month! super awesome! But also, have you thought about what is something you want to achieve in Life overall? and what are you doing now to do so? what is the real purpose of life...let me know what you think.
